Dr. Temeka Johnson, PhD, FNP-C is a passionate and committed nurse practitioner at Quality Health Resource providing top-quality care for patients in and around Mableton, Georgia. With over 26 years of experience in healthcare, Dr. Johnson has been educating patients on preventing illness and working with them to improve wellness in all aspects of their health.
As education plays a vital role in Dr. Johnson’s professional life, she is always working toward enhancing her expertise and skills to provide the best experiences for her patients.
Dr. Johnson completed her bachelor’s degree in nursing at Kennesaw State University before pursuing two master’s degrees at Walden University: nursing leadership and management and nursing education. After graduation, she went on to achieve her post-master’s degree in nursing at Herzing University.
Throughout her nursing career, Dr. Johnson has worked in a variety of roles, including serving as a registered nurse (RN) for over 22 years, family nurse practitioner (FNP), travel nurse, nurse consultant, director of nursing services, licensed nursing home administrator, as well as an adjunct clinical instructor.
Her passion for both education and gaining broad experiences have lead her to seek several certifications. Dr. Johnson is an advanced practice registered nurse and family nurse practitioner, receiving her certifications through the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. She is also a licensed nursing home administrator and preceptor in Georgia.
At Quality Health Resource, Dr. Johnson is certified to perform basic life support (BLS) and advanced cardiac life support (ACLS), as well as apply the National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) in her practice.
